Community Service Projects
The lawyer and paralegal members of the North Carolina Advocates for Justice take part in community service projects throughout the year.

Over one million North Carolinians live in poverty and most receive emergency food each year from a food pantry or soup kitchen. With this very difficult economic downturn, there is an increased need for emergency food assistance and many food banks are nearly empty.

NCAJ New Lawyers Division has partnered with four food banks across the state to feed those North Carolinians in need: Second Harvest of Metrolina, Second Harvest of Northwest North Carolina, Manna Food Bank and Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina.

The March 2010 food drive generated over 1000 pounds of food. This project will continue throughout the year!
