The NCAJ Mock Trial Program will host 6 day-long regional competitions throughout the state. During the two qualifying rounds at Regionals, students present both sides of the competition case. For example, if a team argues the defense side in the morning round, they will present the plaintiff's/prosecution's case in the afternoon. A panel of legal professionals evaluates each team. Scores are not based on the merits of the case, but on how well teams demonstrate critical thinking skills, public speaking, courtroom demeanor and teamwork.
March 4 & 5, 2011 - State Finals
Eight regional winners and two qualifying teams will meet in Raleigh to compete for the title of State Champion.
